Boxing for Charity

Staff members could not believe their eyes when Daniel Raven, Facilities Engineer at Lattimer, proudly presented his boxing belt on Monday morning. Daniel won the Merseyside Cup, an amateur charity boxing match between Liverpool and Southport, in which 42 contestants took part in 21 matches on Saturday 17th November. Each contestant raised money in aid of charity and Daniel chose Cancer Research UK in honour of his late Dad. “I really enjoy the sport because it challenges you both physically and mentally. It doesn’t matter what the outcome is when you step into the ring, when you know you’ve put everything you have into a good cause.” Lattimer Engineering Apprentice Lucas Allsworth, also took part and made it all the way to the third round. Well done guys!
