The Parallel Action Tong Holder provides a smooth accurate pickup, reducing
wear defects and increasing efficiency.
The new robust linkage style design of this Lattimer Tong Holder can solve many inherent issues
experienced with conventional “arcuate” tong holders such as ware checking and tong winking,
significantly reducing critical defects.

The movement in this new parallel tong holder has been developed to be precise, accurate and long
lasting. Many parts in the assembly are made from lightweight but durable materials which have been
proven in our standard tong holders.
The Parallel action also allows extended mould contact time, reducing idle time in the machine and
allowing pickup to be much closer to the moulds. These factors coupled together can significantly
increase machine efficiency.
